The If’s of PB&J

Craze: Organic

During my workday today I was asked my favorite question: “Will you make me a peanut butter and jelly shake?” I love making shakes. Its just so much fun, and its probably the easiest thing to do. And this one is especially fun because it just tastes so good.

Well. Here I am, in my prime, sifting through the drawers and pulling out the necessary ingredients. The banana protein, the strawberry jelly, and most importantly: the peanut butter. Only, since I work in a gym we can’t use regular peanut butter - it has to be that all natural crap. So naturally (pardon the pun) it has seperated. Its half peanut crap and half oils and whatnot.

As I stir, I realize that peanut butter can directly represent life. We expect everything to come pre-packaged, already stirred. But occasionally we’re handed something that needs work.

And if we know it needs work, we sometimes question it. If it needs work, is it really worth it? If so, how much work are we talking about here? If I work for it, will I get the expected outcome?

And I guess that depends on the package. But listen to me - don’t ever miss out on anything because you were too lazy to work for it.

And in the end, I got a two dollar tip for that shake. Karma?
